Before you get started, remember to:
Use a soft and flexible measuring tape.
A rigid metal tape won't contour to your natural curves, leading to inaccurate numbers. A soft fabric or plastic tape ensures a precise, body-hugging measurement.
Keep the tape level and snug, but don't pull it tight.
The tape should rest flat against your body without digging into your skin or drooping down in the back. This guarantees your garments will fit comfortably without pinching or feeling restrictive.
Measure over bare skin or thin, form-fitting clothing.
Bulky fabrics like heavy sweaters or thick jeans add false inches that will skew your sizing. For the truest fit, take your measurements directly against your body or over lightweight undergarments.
Measuring Guide:
Top Bust
Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Top Waist/Natural Waist
Find the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above your belly button and below your rib cage. Breathe naturally.
Bottom Waist/Hip
Measure around the area where you prefer your pants or skirts to comfortably sit.
Pants Length/Outseam
For length, measure from the top of your thigh down to the bottom of your ankle.
